Hiya 👋
well would you look at that, it hasn’t been as long as last time
Thank you for reading, and sharing this with your friends. Thanks to you we gained some subscribers :)
I hope that your week has been nice and that the warmer spring weather has made it into your day. My main goal recently has been consistency. With this newsletter, with mimich, with Gamer’s Wishbone, with all of it. I just want to aim for consistency. Reply to this email, and let me know what your goals have been recently. Maybe we can help motivate each other 💪
Free Resource #2: Calibre
I plan on writing a whole article about Calibre soon but I want to do a quick highlight here in the newsletter! Calibre is a piece of open-source-community-built-software that allows you to view a myriad of e-book formats, allows the conversion of those file types, and the distribution of those books to a host of different devices both over wired and wireless connections. Calibre allows users to subscribe to RSS feeds/publications, convert it to an ebook, and have them sent directly to your kindle or other device. The large benefit of it being open-source is that the community of users can build and add onto it. A vast catalogue of plugins for Calibre enhance its functionality tenfold. With its customization stat maxed out from the start, update after update getting buff after buff, it just rolled with advantage and has probably- idk, a 36 or something. You can truly go crazy with it.
Things to check out this week:
Snail Man - Gezebelle Gazburgably
One of the many, absolutely insane, tracks to come out of the pandemic. Sounds like a younger cake.
Answer In Progress - how I fixed my attention span
Absolutely great video. I have watched a plethora of attention, productivity, ADHD videos and this one is by far the most valuable. Please go watch it. It will help you. Even if you don’t struggle with completing tasks (lol good 4u) you can still benefit from the lessons learned through the video. (Spoiler Alert: 🧘)
Getting Comfortable with Uncertainty
for Teens: 10 Tips to Overcome Anxiety, Fear, and Worry… Yes! You read that right. For teens! Okay, now hear me out. I feel stunted emotionally in some regard so let me get something for where I’m at, y’know? It’s essentially emotional intelligence for dummies and I couldn’t be happier. Now because I’m not like in middle or high school some of the examples given in the book and the pandering sort of falls flat but it is helpful, and that I appreciate.
What I've got for ya:
mimich draws video podcast on spotify and youtube (lol wut?)
again, yes, you read that right. Short and brief little updates talking over me drawing. It is currently out pacing my gaming channel 👀
